Interim for hire
We fill the gaps in procurement and supply chain.
An experienced professional in your own organisation, from CPO to demand planner. Not just a person in a chair: an agreed scope, an agreed result, and an end point you both know.
Every level
From function leadership to specialist
The Norwegian interim market sells cover at the top. We cover the top too. We also cover the specialist level, which few others offer: the category manager, the sourcing lead and the planner. That is where the gaps actually are.
Senior and function leadership
CPO, procurement director, Supply Chain Director, logistics director.
Management and projects
Procurement manager, category manager, Head of S&OP, function or project lead.
Specialist
Strategic buyer, sourcing lead, contract manager, demand and supply planner, spend analyst.

The situations
When the gap is now
Leave
The category manager is out for a year. The categories cannot wait.
Resignation before the successor lands
The procurement manager resigned with three months’ notice. Search takes longer.
Programme with a deadline
The indirect category programme must be done by 30 June. You are missing the person to run it.
System rollout
A new S2P or planning system. The line has no capacity to own the rollout.
Acquisition
Two procurement functions are becoming one. Someone has to do the work while the organisation finds its shape.
You do not quite know what you need yet
That is a situation too. We help you scope the assignment before anyone starts.
How we work
Four steps from enquiry to start
- 01
We clarify what the assignment must deliver
You get an answer the same day. Then we define scope, result and end point together. That is better for you, and a requirement in the regulation.
- 02
A shortlist from the network
Assessed by people who have held the role, and ready to start when you need them.
- 03
An agreement with an agreed scope
Typically three to twelve months, one month’s notice, and the option of a permanent hire afterwards, agreed up front.
- 04
Follow-up during and at the end
We follow up both sides, and make sure what was delivered stays in the organisation.
The assignment
Agreed scope, agreed result
Scope and end point
Every assignment has a delimited area of delivery and a natural end. Not “a procurement manager for a while”.
Duration
Typically three to twelve months. We agree extensions in good time, not in the last week.
Notice
One month, both ways.
Permanent hire afterwards
If you want to keep the person, the terms are agreed up front. No surprises.
The hiring-in rules
Built for the 2023 regulation
Norway’s hiring-in rules set requirements for how an assignment is delimited and who directs the work. Our assignment template is built for that. We go through the scoping with you before anyone starts. You always make your own assessment, ideally with your own legal adviser.
Questions and answers
Questions about interim
What does it cost?
We agree the fee for each assignment, and you know it before the assignment starts. You get a proposal after a first conversation about what the assignment must deliver. We only take assignments where we are the only ones helping you with the role.
What if it does not work out?
One month’s notice both ways, and we have the conversation early. Often it is the assignment that needs adjusting, not the person.
Can we hire the person afterwards?
Yes. We agree the terms for that up front, in the same agreement.
Who is the employer?
The professional delivers through their own company as a subcontractor, with their own liability and their own management of the work. By Name owns the client relationship and answers for the result at assignment level.
What about sole proprietorships?
Sole proprietorships and one-person companies cannot be hired in under the regulation, but can deliver as independent contractors. We adapt the form of agreement and explain the difference.
